Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) is an independent university of health sciences that was established in the year 1998. The university is situated in Nashik city of Maharashtra State. The University is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) and MHRD, Maharashtra. MUHS, Nashik consists of a total of 403 affiliated colleges and institutes under it.
Earlier, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Nashik headquarters was situated in Gangapur Road, Nashik but later in 2004, it shifted to Mhasrul, Dindori Road, Nashik where it is currently functioning. It is known as both a teaching and affiliating university. Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik has been established as per the Maharashtra government guidelines with jurisdiction over the whole of the State of Maharashtra.
